Boston-based Trio Oko—praised for their “profound communication” and “thoughtful choices of timbre, articulation, dynamic contrast, and balance”—joins forces with Sarah Whitney for an unconventional Beyond the Notes concert. Featuring violinist Emma Powell, cellist Mina Kim, and harpist Charles Overton, the ensemble will present a vibrant program spanning Jacques Ibert, Jessie Montgomery, and more.

Featuring the winner of the Michael H. Welles Young Soloist Competition Compositions by Women composers - TBA Dianne Mahany was a long-time principal clarinet and board member for the Wellesley Symphony, and is well known for her work with Bennington Chamber Music Conference as their treasurer. Her joy in making music with us, and her many contributions to this orchestra is something we treasure. For all this, the WSO commissioned Music Director Mark Latham to compose Elegy in Memoriam of Dianne Mahany.
