Trumpeter and vocalist Christine Fawson, a former Berklee College of Music faculty member for fourteen years, has built an acclaimed international career as a solo artist, educator, and recording musician. Known for her warm vocal style and expressive trumpet playing, she brings a distinctive musical voice shaped by decades of performance and collaboration. Her recent recording It Could Happen to You highlights her artistry through sophisticated arrangements and inventive interpretations of jazz standards. Fawson is joined by an exceptional trio of distinguished musicians. Pianist Russell Hoffmann, Associate Professor of Piano at Berklee College of Music, is widely recognized for his work as a performer, composer, and arranger across jazz and contemporary styles. Bassist Marshall Wood brings a remarkable legacy that includes performances with many of jazz’s most celebrated artists and years as Tony Bennett’s touring and recording bassist. Drummer Casey Scheuerell, a highly respected performer and Berklee professor, has enjoyed an extensive international career spanning jazz, fusion, and studio performance. Together, the quartet presents an engaging program of jazz classics and inspired improvisation performed by artists whose collective experience represents the highest level of contemporary jazz performance.
