All new repertoire for the CHSO from the pens of the great composers we have often visited and are so familiar with!!!  Resphigi, Stravinsky and Tchaikovsky – icons of their own generational styles turn their creative vocabulary back to the roots of Classical music.  Tchaikovsky’s Homage to Mozart based on themes and styles of the Master, along with Stravinsky and Resphigi’s charming, elegant and powerful settings of Italian Baroque lute and chamber orchestra music –  brought to life in full modern, orchestral “Technicolor” soundscape created by your own virtuosic CHSO!

Experience the healing power of Springtime with a concert filled with fresh beginnings. We salute our annual Youth Competition featuring two first-prize winners. Eunha Basu (2024) will showcase her virtuosity and passion on the piano in Tchaikovsky's Piano Concerto No. 1. And we welcome back Andrew Byun, 2014 winner and rising international soloist, performing Leopold Hofmann's elegant Cello Concerto, a hidden gem from Mozart's era. The afternoon concludes with the vivid magic of Stravinsky's The Firebird Suite, a dazzling tale of transformation and triumph. Together, these pieces will transport you from the iciness of winter into the blooming delight of spring.

Attacca Visiting Artist Series Sunday, March 15 • 5:30 PM Attacca School of Music — Performance Room Artist Bios Constantine Finehouse, Piano Constantine Finehouse has performed extensively throughout the United States and internationally, with appearances in major cultural centers including Salzburg, Trieste, London, Ghent, Moscow, St. Petersburg, and Odessa. His discography includes numerous critically acclaimed recordings, including Backwards Glance (2009), which interweaves works of Brahms and Richard Beaudoin. Tyler Michael James, Cello Praised for his “soulful, lyrical tone” and “phenomenal color palette,” Tyler Michael James is an in-demand soloist, chamber musician, and orchestral performer. He has performed with leading ensembles including the Tristan Trio, A Far Cry, Castle of Our Skins, and Fermata Chamber Soloists. His performances have been presented by major institutions and venues including Rockport Music, the Metropolitan Museum of Art, 92nd Street Y, the Peabody Institute, New York University, and the Bar Harbor Music Festival. He has also recorded at WGBH Studios.
