Event Submission Guide

Event Submission Guide - Basic Information
Title: The title should be a short-hand contraction of either the performer or the promoter and the performance separated by a dash.  It should be kept as short as possible and does not need to be completely self explanatory.
Category: Select from among the three major categories, Music, Exhibit, or On Stage.
Additional Categories: Select additional categories from the drop-down list.  There are no restrictions but it is best to pick only a few
Thumb Image: Currently the thumb image is limited to 300 pixels vertical and 500 pixels horizontal dimension.
Allowed thumb image file types are: .jpg(or .jpeg)  .pdf   .bmp   .png  .gif   Preferred type is .jpg
Other image settings:
Thumb Image Max Size (HxW):  300x500 pixels
    Max Image file size:  2Mb
Location: Select from previously entered locations or define a new venue location.
Event Start Date:  Pick the starting date of your event using the calendar selector.  The starting time is specified using a 24-hour format so that an event to be held at 7:30 PM is specified as specified as starting at 19:30.
Price Text:  The price may be specified in any format and is not a required parameter
Custom Registration Handle URL:  This URL should link to the page containing information about purchasing tickets or making reservations for the event.
Published:  You may elect to not publish your event immediately if for example you anticipate there may be some details which still need to be confirmed.
Short Description:  The Short Description is used as the primary description which is presented whenever a site user clicks on an event in a list.  It should be kept fairly short, ideally to a single paragraph.
Allowed image file types are: .jpg(or .jpeg)  .pdf   .bmp   .png  .gif   Preferred type is .jpg
Other image settings:
Image Max Size (HxW):  500x700 pixels
    Max Image file size:  2Mb
Description: This is a more comprehensive description of the event which the user will see after clicking on a listing containing the short description.  It can be somewhat longer since it is on a page containing only information about your event but it should still be fairly brief.  The idea is to encourage the viewer to refer to the event's home site for further information.
