Join the Firebird Pops to open the 2026 season with a program celebrating the music of John Williams. For more than six decades, Williams has written music that has become closely tied to some of the most recognizable stories in film. This program includes selections from Star Wars, Harry Potter, Superman, and Hook, alongside lesser-performed works from films such as The Cowboys, 1941, Memoirs of a Geisha, The Witches of Eastwick, and Far and Away. Together, these pieces offer a broader look at Williams’ work as a composer – from familiar themes to scores that show his range, craft, and unmistakable voice for orchestra. We invite you to join us for the opening concert of Firebird’s 2026 season and experience this music performed live by the Firebird Pops. Please note: This performance does not include film clips.

The New Opera Company of Boston (NOCB) is a newly emerging arts organization dedicated to revitalizing Boston's opera scene by performing classics and modern works with young professional talent, featuring galas at the Dante Alighieri Society and future community-oriented productions. They offer high-quality performances, specializing in Bel Canto, and provide educational community concerts.
