Red is a Feeling is an evening of short dance works that present multi-faced expressions of love, longing, and the fight to live, woven together by the color Red. The program takes its title from a new commission by Iranian-Hispanic choreographer Roya Carreras Fereshtehnejad, who was diagnosed with two forms of cancer in her early thirties, undergoing chemotherapy and multiple surgeries.

Dennis Brennan is a longtime staple of the Boston music scene, known for his gritty vocals and a sound that fuses rock, blues, and Americana. Over the years, he’s fronted several influential bands and released a string of critically praised albums, including Jack-in-the-Pulpit and Iodine in the Wine.

The Dennis Brennan Trio—featuring Jim Haggerty and Lyle Brewer—brings a raw, stripped-down energy to his songs, shaped by decades of experience and chemistry.

Here is Rydell High’s senior class of 1959: duck-tailed, hot-rodding “Burger Palace Boys’ and their gum-snapping, hip-shaking “Pink Ladies” in bobby sox and pedal pushers, evoking the look and sound of the 1950s in this rollicking musical.

Head “greaser” Danny Zuko and new (good) girl Sandy Dumbrowski try to relive the high romance of their “Summer Nights” as the rest of the gang sings and dances its way through classic songs. The show features “Greased Lightnin’,” “You're the One That I Want,” and “Hopelessly Devoted,” that recall music of Buddy Holly, Little Richard and Elvis Presley that became the soundtrack of a generation. An eight-year run on Broadway and two subsequent revivals, along with innumerable school and community productions, place Grease among the world’s most popular musicals.
