Part of BACHtoberfest Weekend
Deeply sensitive, insightful and compelling, pianist Boris Giltburg performs Bach’s unforgettable Well Tempered Clavier, Book 1. This near-meditative journey through every key signature, each with two movements (Prelude and Fugue) allows the listener to experience Bach’s keyboard writing as he intended: musical practices to explore all ways of writing.
Moscow-born Israeli pianist Boris Giltburg is known for his compelling interpretations of piano greats, performing with some of the world’s most distinguished ensembles, and this solo recital of Bach engages the listener in an exploration of Bach’s work on the modern-day keyboard. An avid interpreter of all periods of the classical music repertoire, Giltburg often dives deep into the workings of the composer through his blog “Classical Music for All”

Handel Messiah: Worcester Chorus
12-05-2026 7:00 pm
$55 - $100
The Worcester Chorus celebrates the season with their annual presentation of this cherished holiday staple, known for the jubilant and dramatic “Hallelujah” chorus. Attending Messiah has become a beloved tradition for many families and choral music fans in the Greater Worcester community and beyond.
This year’s concert features the return of the soloists who were featured in 2025 to high acclaim.
Handel was a star of his era, and wrote music that stands the test of time. Messiah is the story of Jesus Christ, set in three parts (“acts”) that alternate between recitatives, arias, and choruses. What was originally written for Easter has now become a Christmas tradition, as the work tells the story of Christ from birth through death and glory. Ensembles across the world gather to perform this work year after year, whether it’s in full or simply performing the “Hallelujah” chorus.
