Swing into the holiday season at Groton Hill!

Led by Jerry Sabatini, the Groton Hill Big Band is dedicated to authentic performances of music from a seminal era in Jazz history and American culture, and to instilling the unique style of the period into contemporary compositions.  

They’ll play a host of swinging seasonal standards and other holiday favorites for the whole family to enjoy!

One of our beloved holiday traditions returns

Since the early sixties, Darlene has appeared on numerous television programs and on Broadway, running the gamut from her weekly appearances on Shindig to a recent guest spot on the PBS special entitled Women Who Rock. An autobiographical film is currently on the drawing board with a development deal from Oprah Winfrey based on the book My Name is Love, written by Darlene.Her Billboard hits include: He’s A Rebel, The Boy I’m Gonna Marry, Wait ‘Til My Bobby Gets Home, He’s Sure the Boy I Love and the #1 holiday classic Christmas Baby Please Come Home, a song that she performed annually with Paul Shaffer and the CBS Symphony Orchestra on The Late Show With David Letterman for some 29 years before David retired.

To continue this long standing tradition, Darlene performs a number of special Christmas shows every year and continues to enchant her fans with Christmas spirit.

Friday Night Sing-Alongs: Enjoy this free, fun evening of live music for individuals with disabilities at Hopkinton Center for the Arts! Whether you're a seasoned performer or want to relax and watch the show, this accessible event is an opportunity to mingle, share your favorite song, and enjoy performances in a supportive and safe space. Guided by professional music teacher Emily Vincent, we welcome all singing levels. At the beginning of each event, tickets will be given out for two pieces of pizza and a drink to be enjoyed before the singing starts.

This show has been rescheduled from July 28. Current ticket holders for the July 28th performance will automatically be issued tickets for the same seats to the December 20th performance by August 15th, 2024. Best known for his work in theatre, television, and film, Broadway star Aaron Tveit won a Tony Award for his performance as Christian in Moulin Rouge! The Musical. Tveit originated the roles of Frank Abagnale in Catch Me If You Can and Gabe in Next to Normal (Helen Hayes Award, Lucille Lortel nomination, The Actors Equity Clarence Derwent Award) as well as playing Fiyero in Wicked and Link in Hairspray. Other stage credits include: Assassins (West End), Rent (Hollywood Bowl), Company  (Barrington Stage).
